Ringmer Becomes an ECO Ambassador

Ringmer Community College has long been a leader in sustainability and has been the holder of the prestigious Eco School Green Flag Award for eight years.  The college’s work on energy saving, generation, litter control, recycling and consistently high environmental standards have now earned the college Ambassador Status. 

Eco School Ambassadors aim to instil environmental responsibility to their students and extend support and commitment to sustainability outside of the classroom.  The college’s Eco Reps, making up a third of the college’s student population, have made the college a national leader in this area of education.  The college’s assessor described the work undertaken as astonishing. The college now joins only a handful of schools throughout the country to have been awarded Ambassador Status.  Ringmer will act as a Hub for schools throughout Sussex offering advice on good practice.
